When I was about 8 years old, my parents gave me my first camera. It was a Minolta 35mm with a 50mm f/1.7 prime lens. I was instantly fascinated with taking photos of small stuff. My first ever photos were of ants on our blacktop driveway. At the time I had no idea what “macro” photography was, but I knew I really liked it! As the years wore on I faded in and out of interest with cameras and creating images, but the age of digital camera in the late 90’s drew me back in. I was a “professional” photographer when I lived in FL in the early 2000s, shooting a lot of wildlife and state attractions for the FL Visitors Guide (I got the cover shot one year!), and then again during the pandemic, shooting real estate photos (Zzzzzz….) and drone work. I’ve recently committed myself to learning to shoot in a studio setting and just shooting more in general as a creative outlet. This front page is just a smattering of photos; mostly mine, some from others where noted. It’s more a glimpse at my life than a portfolio of work. There are other galleries linked to show my first attempts at studio work. I’ll let you know now, the studio galleries contain some NSFW images. Thanks for visiting!
